As some customers, team members and partners are from a cultural background and region, where Ramadan will be celebrated now, we wanted to offer during that - let's call it - "spiritual" time, an input to reflect on.
Down here in the "Reflection Room" we will launch over the next month regularly some Coaching Impulses.
On our "Guest Board" friends & colleagues took the opportunity to post their creative impulses or content, we worked on together as a team.
There are some special guests... - check it out!

You might wonder what FORGIVENESS has to do with Business?
Forgiveness is indeed in some fields of Business Coaching but as well as in Team Trainings/ Team Coaching a key action.
I
And as simple as it is - never forget: We interact with other individuals!
Is there an example to "forgiveness in business context" under your TOP3? - We guess so.
II
Not always we have to forgive others but ourselves.
Sometimes to forgive ourselves is the hardest exercise.
III
If we interact with many other people at work the likelihood that we
need "forgiveness" is high!
It is nearly impossible that everyone in our environment knows our trigger, our boundaries and/or individual emotional constitution, means it´s more a matter of time till someone is at least accidentally come in our way. To prevent that in our business life, companies implemented behavioral guidelines like corporate values, professional behavior at work and guiding principals and other regulations what all is the written version of our corporate culture. But conflicts are unavoidable. - We are humans.
IV
When we forgive we give the major impact is that we give someone the possibility to press the "delete-button" on your personal keyboard. We give a chance for a "white paper", leaving the past behind and move forward. Depending on the initial issue this can be an exhausting process what needs a good portion on inner strength.
V
In General we tend to value the "giving" more than the "taking". In this case here, we immediately think the "taking part" is easy. Reality is that there are people, who are not good in "receiving or taking" and depending on the initial matter/issue and even after an act of forgiveness, the feeling of "guilt", "shame" or "not good enough" is a burden, what takes time to let go off.
VI
The concept of "giving & taking" is based on the motivation to work on a harmonic co-existence, a reparation or improvement of the situation of 2 people - in most cases.
But nevertheless it is possible to practice "forgiving" also in a 1 person set up, for example if the other person is not "available".
VII
In both ways if there are more than 1 party involved or just 1 party, forgiving makes sense in order to close out a troubling chapter, let unsolved conflicts go and balance your emotions, for example.
VIII
Forgiving in Business Context like f.e. in matters of a team conflict or step over personal boundaries in a work relationship can have a different level of "emotional impact" compared to the process of "forgiveness" in close private relationships or in case of "self - forgiving". In the private sector - the closer the relationship to the "other party" (what can be you too) the more impactful the initial situation/issue can be.
IX
But also in business context we have questions & concerns not just to "how to forgive" but also what's the outcome and effect. Which questions do you have in mind?
In business the topic of "forgiveness" it is nothing what we name that way in our daily operations. We have many other phrases and often it is just one hidden influencing factor.
X
Did we inspire you? - Or have we been able to give you a short impulse for reflection?
Share your thoughts with us & give us feedback. We would be glad.
XI
The quote says "forgiveness" is not changing the past BUT when we forgive, we slightly "over-paint" the past picture, right? So we add or change some colors.
I wonder if we look back after years and under consideration, that we really have forgiven, and see that "changed" colored picture: Did we may change the past? - retrospectively?
XII
Also in Business Life: We all are just humans... With human feelings, needs, desires, problems, emotions and struggles.

The "what" and "why"!
In many religions and cultures fasting was and still is common practice. When we think about fasting, we tend to associate it straight away with Christianity or Islam, but actually many religions, philosophies and cultures practicing fasting like: Buddhism, Judaism, Taoism, Jainism, Hinduism and Christianity & Islam.
Time, duration, practices and behavioral guidelines differ a lot; the multiple variations of fasting are caused by different communities, groups, subcultures and regions.
For example in Geneva, Switzerland, people fast for non-religious reasons. It is called the “Jeune genevois” or “Fast of Geneva,” which is a public holiday and day of fasting in the canton of Geneva occurring in September. This goes back to the Middle Ages when some days were officially decided to be fasting days as penitence after calamities such as wars, epidemics, or the plague. (https://culturalawareness.com/fasting-around-the-world/)
Beside of the religious factor the goals are pretty similar and can be summarized in some bullet points:
- sacrifices
- cleansing yourself
- reflection
- silence (your mind)
- mindfulness & awareness
- re-calibration
- forgiving
- empathy & understanding
Even if we re-phrased some bullet points to "today's understanding" the correlation to topics out of the field inner or "personal GROWTH" is undeniable. For us, reasons enough to use that as a source of inspiration and dig a bit more into Zadkiel Coaching. In coaching business meets private; both go hand-in-hand. Some impulses & inputs we will launch in our "Reflection Room" below, touching both dimensions and ideally connect them. But without a doubt: it is our "soft corner".
"Mind Space" our Ramadan Special, is an offer for a "time out" to think & reflect, to consider, evaluate & meditate. It´s a virtual room for introspection & reflection on topics, which have usually not much space in our daily life and/or business.
Our goal is to make you musing upon the content we publish in our "Reflection Room" with the intention to take you on a journey with us, for some little moments.
"Mind Space" is a creative "room for reflection", a room of "all is OK! & all is allowed" and in which your and our thoughts are free... free to float and to philosophize, during a short "time out".
This is a room free of judgement!
